Gorgeous ‘Fat’ Keshi Pearls, 11mm

These luscious freshwater Keshi (also sometimes spelled ‘Keishi’) pearls have sensuous curves and a fantastic lustre. As well as making a fabulous necklace, these lovely pearls could also be used singularly for making pendants of earrings.

Keshi pearls are among the most coveted of all freshwater pearl forms. They form without a nucleus — a natural accident of the cultivation process — which means they are composed almost entirely of nacre, the very substance that gives pearls their legendary lustre. The result is a pearl that glows from within rather than simply reflecting light from its surface, and at 11mm these are large enough for that quality to be immediately and dramatically apparent.

No two Keshi pearls are ever the same shape, which makes every necklace, pendant, or pair of earrings made from them a genuinely one-of-a-kind piece.
