15mm Baroque Coin Pearls
At 15mm these are large, generous pearls with a real presence and weight that smaller coins simply cannot match. The baroque coin form — broad and flat, with a gently irregular, organic outline rather than a perfectly circular edge — gives each pearl a naturally sculptural quality, and the surfaces are richly textured with the characteristic ripples and undulations of baroque nacre that catch and scatter light in endlessly varied ways.
The lustre is excellent, a deep, bright iridescence that shifts between pure white, soft silver, and pale green and gold depending on the angle of light, giving the pearls an almost luminous quality that is particularly striking at this size. With approximately 25 pearls to a 16-inch string, a finished necklace will have a bold, statement quality, substantial and luxurious without being ostentatious.
The kind of piece that draws admiring glances and quiet questions about where it came from.
