Jade Long Barrel Beads – Hand-Carved Dyed Jadeite, 23mm

A beautifully crafted focal bead for statement jewellery, this long barrel-shaped jade bead is hand-carved from dyed jadeite and finished to a smooth, polished surface. The elongated barrel form gives it a bold, architectural quality that works equally well in contemporary and more traditional jewellery designs.

Dimensions & drilling: Each bead measures approximately 23mm in length and 15mm in diameter at its widest point. It is centre through-drilled with a generously sized hole of approximately 3.5mm, making it straightforward to thread onto a wide range of materials including heavyweight cord, leather thong, silk, or ribbon. This larger drill hole opens up creative possibilities that a standard bead hole would not allow.

About the material: Jadeite is one of the two mineral forms of true jade — the other being nephrite — and is prized for its fine texture and ability to take a high polish. These beads are crafted from dyed jadeite, giving a rich, consistent colour while retaining all the smooth, cool weight and tactile quality of naturally coloured jade. As a hand-carved product, very minor variation in shape and finish between beads is to be expected.
