These lovely freshwater peacock black pearls have a heavily baroque round shape have an excellent lustre and superb iridescence.

These are pearls with real presence and drama. Each one has a heavily baroque, almost fireball-like form, with sculptural ridges and curves that make every pearl entirely individual. The colour is a deep peacock black, but it is the iridescence that truly captivates, with rich overtones of violet, green, bronze, and blue shifting and glowing across the surface as the pearls catch the light.

This effect occurs naturally in the nacre and is beautifully enhanced by the excellent lustre. At 11 to 13mm across and up to 17mm in length these are substantial, eye-catching pearls, and with around 25 to 26 to a 16-inch string they make a bold and genuinely unforgettable statement necklace. They pair wonderfully with silver findings for a striking, contemporary piece.
