A grade Jade Bead Necklace with Ball Clasp

This beautiful natural jade bead necklace has been created using 54 closely matched 7mm beads. The beads – mid-green with darker speckled inclusions, were all cut from a single piece of stone to ensure colour consistency. It is unusual to find this many natural beads so closely colour-matched in a single piece.
To do these magnificent beads justice, Susan used an 8mm ball clasp in 9k gold to complement them and knotted them on to dark green stringing silk. The clasp is fitted with a security-type catch for added safety and the whole necklace weighs 36 grammes.
